  5.       All programs on this disk have been fully tested under WorkBench 1.2
  6.       Some programs may not work under WorkBench (Kickstart) 1.1

  9.                             Word  Processing

  12.       Microemacs Word Processor
  13.       
  14.       This disk features an Emacs editor customized for word processing.  
  15.       To run this program double click on the MicroEMACS icon.  This
  16.       program features both mouse and keyboard interface.  Check the file
  17.       Microemacs.DOC for help. In particular see the section towards the
  18.       end on special Amiga features where the mouse button functions are
  19.       described.

  21.       QUICK EMACS USE HINTS
  22.       
  23.       * Move the cursor within a text file with the LEFT mouse button.
  24.       
  25.       * Set a mark with the RIGHT mouse button.  Once a region is bounded
  26.         by two marks you may CUT, COPY and PASTE.
  27.  
  28.       * To delete a whole line type CTRL^K (hold down the control key
  29.         while you press the  K  key).
  30.      
  31.       * Hold down the SHIFT key to use arrow keys to move around your text 
  32.         file quickly.

  37.       Spell Checkers
  38.       
  39.       There are two spell checkers on this disk.  These are
  40.       
  41.       
  42.       X-Spell
  43.       
  44.       IMPORTANT!  X-Spell and the Dictionary must be moved into your 
  45.       current C directory.  This is the directory on your WorkBench disk
  46.       where the AmigaDOS commands are kept.  X-Spell will crash the Amiga
  47.       if both these files are not in the current C directory.
  48.       
  49.       To copy X-Spell and Dictionary to the current C directory type 
  50.       at the CLI:
  51.       
  52.       1>copy "APDC # 023:X-Spell" WorkBench:C
  53.       
  54.       (The CLI prompt "1>" is not meant to be typed).
  55.       
  56.       Now you can run the X-Spell program from any directory simply by 
  57.       typing at the CLI
  58.       
  59.       1>x-spell <filename>
  60.       
  61.       The filename must be entered at the CLI. This is the name of the 
  62.       text file you want to spell check.  See X-Spell.Doc for complete
  63.       instructions.

  66.       Amigaspell
  67.       
  68.       A basic icon operated spell checker that scans your document
  69.       and displays unrecognized words as it encounters them.  To expand
  70.       recognized words edit the file glossary.data

  79.       An excellent mailbase management utility.  See QB.Doc for
  80.       instructions.

  83.       There are also three excellent databasing utilities by Hal Carter on
  84.       this disk.  These are:
  85.       
  86.       HouseInv    A database utility to record information on your
  87.                   valuable household possesions.
  88.            
  89.       Mailmgr     A mailing list manager.
  90.       
  91.       Refmgr      A 3 x 5 card type reference manager.

  94.       Select   Instructions   from the mouse menu interface for help on 
  95.       using these three database utilities.  To edit a new databse you will
  96.       need to enter some CLI commands to delete the existing databases in
  97.       these directories.  See   General Instructions  under the Instructions
  98.       menu for help in deleting the proper files.
